Reasons for Breeding: Following are details on our most recent liter in December 2003. All puppies have been placed. Sire: Magnus Dam:Diva We wanted the mixture of Magnus extreme lose skin, type, bone and temperament with Diva's Black Color + temperament, athletic ability and intelligence. Diva has "Antares Do Camping" on both sides of her pedigree, a stud who I have had the displeasure of meeting a few years ago and is what could be referred to as an 'Extreme Fila'. Antares is a strong mid-sized very muscular black Fila who has an extremely HARD temperament. Diva is extremely intelligent, muscular and graceful. She is our most agile dog. The combination should prove explosive. Both have genetics with strong temperaments. Magnus has more type, bone and size, and Diva a very hard athletes body, temperament in genes and she has the recessive black color gene. Diva needs more loose skin and more 'type'. One important point: Both Magnus and Diva are our MOST 'needy' Filas. They crave for affection and love. The pups will surely have the same trait. Those that want an 'indpt' Fila should not seek a pup out of this litter. We were planning the Magnus-Diva litter for the summer in Vermont but Magnus beat us to the punch and bred Diva at the young age of 10 months! This was not what we planned but the pups should be magnificent. We have passion for continuing the legacy and proper existence of this majestic breed. We have carefully chosen the Filas in our 'kennel'; all with extremely desirable traits serving as a strong foundation. We hope to spend the next many generations integrated into the Fila world, helping educate those that seek knowledge about the dog and safeguarding the breed from those that try to outlaw or change it's temperament. We will only produce 1 litter a year maximum and will be very careful about to whom we sell (place) our pups. An exclusive few will have the chance to own a dog from our Julius Kennels.
